DIOCESE OF IRINGA, St. KIZITO´S LEARNING CENTRE WITH SOME ROOMS FOR AUCTION

Target groupe:

To sustain poor young students who fail to pay school fees and those from the village to have a place for leaning (Library and bookshop) and a possibility of teaching slow learner students.

 

Description of social economic and cultural surroundings:

Mafinga Seminary is surrounded by Changarawe village and Sao Hill. The inhabitants of these villages generally are poor. There are many young boys and girls studying in the 4 different secondary schools available in the area. Many of these students are day scholars. This means they go to school daily but live at home. Their home places are not conducive for leaning, for there are no electricity and supportive educational learning atmosphere.

St. Kizito shopping and learning center will be the only place to provide such students with such a necessary learning and studying atmosphere.

 

The project aims at:

  • The seminary as an educational ecclesial community to be able have source of income for running school´s programs such as helping the disadvantaged students reach their goal.

  • The orphans and poor students without people who can support them financially, will be easily accommodated and others school´s program will run smoothly.

 

FUTURE AUTONOMY AND OPERATION:

“He that climbs a big tree, gets a push” but after climbing he is

to help others to move the same step.”

  • The main objective of this project is Prepare the future of so many young boys and girls, the future of the church and this country for self-reliance.

  • The building will have some few rooms in the ground floor for auction or trading. That is, some rooms in the ground floor will be for renting. Whereby, according to the agreement we shall make, people will pay us for trading.

  • This will be one of the sources of income to sustain the building and to help poor students who are so many at our school. Hence, we want to be able to stand on our own foot.

  • In the upper floor as well, there will be a learning hall, where by students, who a day scholars will be coming to study under guidance of our teachers working at the seminary.

  • There will be also a library in which important books for the students will be available.

The vision and mission of the seminary as explained above will be met.

Those students without hope and certainty for their future will be given hope as well as their future
